Winter Clothing

Winter is a difficult and dangerous time for people who are homeless, especially those living on the streets.

Hypothermia and frostbite are real threats and each winter there are many cases of cold-related injury, especially to hands, feet, and faces.

You can help save lives by organizing a drive to collect winter clothing items that we can distribute among the people who need them. We recommend collecting smaller items that can be easily shipped:

Hats • Gloves and mittens • Scarves • Earmuffs • Wool or thermal socks

Items should be new or gently used and in good condition. Pairs of gloves, mittens or socks should be bagged or fastened together. Larger items such as coats, sweatshirts, galoshes, etc. are also needed but are generally too bulky to ship in large amounts; we will be happy to accept such items if you wish to deliver them in person, however.

Items can be dropped off in person or shipped to us at: 1991A Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10035

If you are planning to conduct a drive, we encourage you to let us know by filling out the simple form below, so we can expect your gift and be ready to give you any advice or assistance we can. (Submitting this form does not subject you to any obligation or enter you into any kind of contract, and all your information will be kept strictly confidential.)
