Every Monday evening, LEFSA sponsors a Street Ministry, where we distribute sandwiches, and sometimes toiletries, socks, hats, and gloves to people who are homeless. We encounter more than 80 people each week.
Operation Manager James Addison shared that this Monday many people approached him to voice their concern for the people who were on the street and to share their gratitude for what LEFSA was doing.
James said: “More people were watching us, and saying things to us, much more than usually. I think it’s probably because of the spirit of compassion that the Pope left during his visit.”
