February’s Leadership Study Day theme was “Extending the Reign of God Through Freedom—Celebrating Black History Month.”
Our day focused around celebrating the creativity of people in our community and remembering important African American Leaders. The LEFSA community organized its first-ever talent show, which was led and facilitated by Ms. Mary Hall.
The turnout was spectacular. Fifteen different people performed, from children to adults, ranging from poetry readings to acting and singing.
The reception was wonderful, and many hidden talents were discovered! We hope to continue with this tradition going forward. It was a wonderful opportunity for people to share their talents with a larger community!
